to help senior residents in our retirement community get to appointments in the city of Winston-Salem.
Will provide additional services (escorting into building, etc.
) as needed.
This individual makes sure our residents have the best of both customer service and physical supports as they visit their local medical providers.
Duties and Responsibilities Drive residents to/from medical and other health related appointments, as well as non-medical transportations, if needed.
Assists residents into/out of vehicle and into/out of the office or facility serving the resident.
Provides the resident with personal support during the appointment.
Makes sure gas/minor maintenance is handled/turns in receipts.
Learn the Worxhub and Excel software to assist in scheduling of medical appointments.
Documents, wheelchair transport check sheets, monthly vehicle inspection sheets, and any other required records to document the use of all vehicles.
Typical Physical Demands Ability to bend, squat, raise arms above the shoulders and lift 40 lbs.
Ability to push/pull 180 to 200 lbs.
Ability to transfer residents from wheelchair to doctors' exam chair/table when needed.
Licensure Valid North Carolina Driver's license.
Ability to acquire CNA certification within 6 months of date of hire Ability to successfully complete the program of orientation to operate the 15 passenger buses, the wheelchair bus and the wheelchair vans.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
