We are a non-emergency wheelchair transportation provider dedicated to providing quality transportation to our Veterans at the Salisbury VA Medical Center.
We are searching for professional drivers who are dedicated, punctual, courteous and have a flexible schedule.
Duties/
Responsibilities:
Pick up clients at home or other living facility.
Provides the assistance required to safely board clients and caregivers.
Transport clients to and from the Salisbury VA Medical Center, and clinics in the surrounding counties.
Ensures wheelchairs, and passengers are properly secured before starting vehicle.
On arrival at medical facility, assists clients in exiting the vehicle and reaching the proper offices or treatment areas.
Check the vehicle to ensure that no personal items are left behind.
Follow company safety and operational rules and procedures.
Operate mobile devices, company email, various software systems and operate GPS unit.
Pre and post-vehicle safety and maintenance checks.
Follow safe loading and unloading procedures.
Communicate transport details with dispatch.
Possess a friendly and courteous attitude when transporting clients.
Other functions may be assigned.
Education and
Experience:
Must hold a currently valid driver's license and have an excellent driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent and fluency in English required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, push, pull, and position clients frequently.
Ability to perform considerable reaching, stooping, and bending.
Requirements:
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening, MVR screening, background check, TB screening, & physical.
Report to work on time and in proper uniform.
Maintain a strong attendance record.
Safely operate a wheelchair passenger transportation vehicle.
Possession of patience and care with clients and their caregivers.
Must be reliable, capable of working independently and remaining calm in case of emergency.
Must be flexible and have open availability to work early morning, mid-morning, or late evening hours.
Full-Time $15.
77 plus an additional $4.
41 hr in benefits.
