Med Aide (SNF)

Purpose:
To provide medication administration for residents inassigned area in a timely manner following all policies and procedures of theMedication Administration guidelines.
Qualifications:
Must be registered on the NAI registry with noallegations of abuse or neglect.
Mustsuccessfully complete the state approved training program including competencyevaluation and facility orientation program.
Essential
Responsibilities:
Work under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services Administer medication as directed in the Medication Administration policies and procedures manual except injections, medication given by g-tube, j-tube or nasogastic tubes and IV medications Perform job duties ethically and morally; practice good leadership skills Assume any duties assigned within the bounds of professional certification Continue education by attending workshops, in-service classes and reading literature Perform procedures such as vital signs, giving enemas and suppositories, etc Perform universal precaution and hazardous chemical procedures in order to keep residents and staff safe Be alert to all needs of residents reporting immediately any changes in resident's status to supervisor Performs documentation as required by facility policy Maintain residents' self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety Report any medication errors immediately Count controlled substance medications, give/take report and follow proper sign-in, sign-off procedures when changing shifts Work consistently and dependably as scheduled following all polices and procedures of the company Communicate with resident, families, friends, and visitors appropriately Recommended Skills Administration Leadership Nursing Patient Assessment Medical Error Medications Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
